How best to train from Fussen Germany to Zermatt Switzerland?
I’m going to stay overnight in Fussen, see the castles the next day and then try and cruise on down to Zermatt to see ye ole matterhorn and some general hiking. I’ve been searching the german rail site and I’ve only been finding 16hr journeys with about a million changes in between. Is there an overnight train somewhere between these two so I could try and travel the bulk of it by night and only have it eat away at some of my day? I’m guessing I’d probably need to hit a bigger city to bigger city but I’m not really sure which would be best, I know Munich is a big hub but it’s 2 hours in the wrong direction.

I have had a look and most connections cost between 9 and 10 hours, only the overnight ones cost close to 16 hours.
The best I find take just over 9 hours and have 3 changes, but the do only run on weekdays.
The 5:15 departure takes you to Zermatt with three canges, arriving 15:14, the 6:35 departure gets you to Zermatt the same time with just four changes, which is a better alternative, I think.

Or you can leave 11:05 to arrive 20:14.

There is no convenient overnight train as var as I can see, what seem night trains just have a 6 hour wait somewhere, often at Zurich, not good.
You might have to reconsider your plans, or have a night in Zurich.

maybe you should look at what was done in the spread of christianity as well? maybe look at the colonial empires of the past and how they spread christianity. you will see that they weren’t any different. people were tortured and killed in the name of spreading christianity. it is not specific to islam.
